In order to enhance international exchange and cooperation in the field of green development in industrial parks, in 2023, Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China (GPIPC) and the Ulsan Eco-Industrial Development Center (UEID) of South Korea jointly implemented and completed the Sino-Korean Ecological Industrial Development Cooperation Project. Taking the Mingshui Economic and Technological Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as "METDZ") as a pilot, this project introduces advanced technologies, management experience, and mature business models from South Korea in the fields of ecological industry and greenhouse gas emission reduction to assist the METDZ in achieving green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.

In August 2023, during the on-site research period of the project team, UEID and METDZ signed the "Memorandum of Cooperation on Ecological Industrial Development and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction." The scope of cooperation between the two parties includes jointly implementing research projects in the fields of ecological industry, greenhouse gas emission reduction, and green development; collaborating on research on green development policies, standards, technologies, and management strategies; and providing support for enterprises to carry out clean production and green manufacturing practices.
